1976 Rhode Vintage MK1
Electric Vintage Bells with Soul
The warm, soulful sound of the Rhodes has a unique and unistakably gorgeous character. We were lucky enough to deep-sample a pristinely well-kept 88-key Rhodes piano from 1976, which is known as one of the great years for Rhodes MK1.
The Soundpaint 1976 Rhodes includes three microphone perspectives: Cabinet, DI (Direct Input) and all the natural key noises without amplification. We sampled both Sustains and short Staccato notes for faster playing styles.
The velvet sound of the Rhodes has influenced some of the greatest artists of all time, including Stevie Wonder, George Duke and Herbie Hancock to name a few. You can also hear the Rhodes in: "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder, "Holiday" by Madonna, "Riders On The Storm" by The Doors, "You're My Best Friend" by Queen, "Everything Is In The Right Place" by Radiohead and thousands of others.
